Our nursing team is a core element of King’s Fertility. Our nurses are involved in all stages of a treatment cycle and are there to support our patients both physically and emotionally at every step of their personalised journey. From the initial consultation to blood tests, planning a treatment cycle, assisting in theatre and in the follow up of a treatment, they make sure that everyone is always supported and clearly understands the processes ahead. Our nurses and healthcare assistants recognise just how much our patients invest in their treatment – and each one is committed to providing exceptional levels of patient care and support.

A clear explanation of infertility can’t always be found. Fortunately, we can still provide treatment if you’re diagnosed with unexplained fertility. This may be IVF, IUI or another treatment, depending on your age and medical history.

While your fertility is impacted by the perimenopause, it’s still possible to conceive naturally. You may also still be eligible for fertility treatments like IVF, though this depends on other factors too, such as your medical history and age.

POV: You’re having your first consultation at King’s! Here’s a little look at what to expect when you visit our clinic in Denmark Hill. As soon as you walk through our doors, you’ll see our friendly receptionist. They’ll point you in the right direction for your appointment. Next, one of our doctors will greet you and invite you into their consultation room. You’ll have the chance to talk through your medical history, share your fertility concerns and ask any questions. We’ll then carry out an ultrasound scan to help us understand what might be affecting your chances of conceiving. From the moment you arrive, our team are there to support you and help you feel at ease ❤️

Your age, medical history and how long you’ve been trying to conceive are just some of the relevant factors we look at. If you’re unsure of your options, your GP or a consultation with one of our fertility doctors can help you understand what your next best steps are.
